On behalf of our client, the long-established company Heinrich Dehn, we are seeking a Commercial Clerk (m/f/d) for contract logistics in Hamburg. Heinrich Dehn combines the stability of an established company with the dynamism of an innovative startup and offers a work environment where you’re not just a number, but part of a dedicated team.

Your Tasks

As a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Specialist (m/f/d), you’ll ensure that processes run smoothly—from inventory management to transportation coordination to customs clearance. You serve as the link between the warehouse, transportation service providers, customs authorities, and customers. Your responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing, evaluating, and managing inventory.
  • Preparing transport and delivery documents as well as accompanying paperwork.
  • Hiring and coordinating transportation service providers in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Handling customs clearance for exports and imports, including independently preparing customs documents.
  • Handling complaints and claims.
  • Daily communication with customers—open, solution-oriented, and service-focused.
  • Close collaboration with the warehouse, scheduling, and customer service teams to organize day-to-day operations.
  • Compliance with safety, quality, and compliance requirements, as well as meticulous documentation.

Your Profile

You have a talent for organization in scheduling and order processing. With a structured approach, a broad perspective, and clear priorities, you keep everything running smoothly and ensure transparency for customers, your team, and partners. Your dedication makes all the difference. What you should bring to the table:

  • A completed apprenticeship as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or a comparable business qualification.
  • Experience in logistics and inventory management, along with proficiency in MS Office and warehouse management systems.
  • A service- and customer-oriented personality with team spirit, reliability, and a high level of motivation.
  • Ability to handle stress and a proactive, conscientious approach to work—even under time pressure.
  • Business-level proficiency in German (spoken and written) and good English skills.
  • Loyalty and a sense of responsibility when collaborating with internal and external partners.

We Offer

The company offers more than just a job:

  • A secure, future-proof job in a family-like environment.
  • Attractive compensation: Above-scale pay, paid on time and reliably.
  • Benefits such as accident insurance, a company pension plan (with a 20% employer contribution), health management, and an on-site company physician.
  • Job ticket subsidy for a stress-free commute.
  • A warm and welcoming culture with flat hierarchies, regular team events, and a genuine sense of camaraderie.
