Land Transportation and Scheduling Team Leader (m/f/d)

As the Team Leader for Land Transport & Dispatch (m/f/d), you will be responsible for establishing and further developing the Truck Land Transport (LTL/FTL) business unit. You will develop efficient processes, manage day-to-day operations, and build a high-performing network of carriers and customers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and strategically developing the Land Transport (LTL/FTL) business unit
• Independently organizing and managing truck dispatch
• Establishing and further developing a small dispatching team
• Selecting, building, and maintaining a high-performing network of carriers and transport partners
• Supporting existing customers and expanding the current customer base
• Acquiring new customers and developing sustainable business relationships
• Calculating costs and preparing quotes
• Ensuring cost-effective and high-quality transportation solutions
• Working closely with the contract logistics, ocean freight, air freight, and sales departments

You combine extensive experience in land transportation with an entrepreneurial mindset and a solution-oriented approach to work. Thanks to your strong organizational skills, negotiation skills, and leadership qualities, you maintain a clear overview even in challenging situations and build lasting relationships with customers, carriers, and colleagues. Your profile includes:

• Several years of professional experience in truck dispatch or land transportation at a freight forwarding company
• Experience in establishing or expanding a transportation division is a plus
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international land transportation (LTL and FTL)
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong hands-on approach
• A passion for actively helping to shape processes and structures
• Negotiation skills and experience dealing with customers and carriers
• Good written and spoken English
• Class B driver’s license (passenger car) and mobility
• Ideally, some experience in sales or acquiring new customers
• An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
