Sales Manager Sea Freight

Your role
For you, the customer comes first. Based in our Ulm office, you will maintain close personal contact with your contacts in the sales region. In the acquisition of new customers, you have clear goals - and the freedom to decide for yourself how to achieve them. You are the reliable partner for our customers and guarantee the business success for the company. As part of your onboarding, you will learn about the conditions of the trade lanes, the range of services, and the industries and types of goods traded on the routes.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• You acquire new customers and convince them of our extensive product portfolio
• You support our existing customers in the area of sea freight and identify further needs and potentials
• You will prepare offers, customer presentations and ensure the necessary documentation
• You will work professionally, closely and constructively with Customer Service to achieve your common goals
• You accompany the implementation of new business and are thus the reliable linchpin for your contacts on all sides
• You secure the loyalty of our customers by convincing them of our quality products and services
• You regularly inform customers about market updates

You should have the following qualifications

• Completed commercial training and extensive, demonstrable professional experience and success in field sales in the logistics industry
• Profound knowledge in the fields of logistics, forwarding or shipping, ideally specialized knowledge in the field of sea freight
• Confident, obliging and serious appearance
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Independent working style and good self-organization
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English
• Very good PC user skills, especially MS-Office
