Job Description

Scope of Position: Develop, maintain, and measure Expeditors’ activity with a
select number of in-house accounts. Manage all aspects of Expeditors’
relationship with each account to achieve customer’s goals and expectations
while continuing to build a strategic partnership and increase revenue.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Constantly
    seek new business, cost-out and value-add opportunities.

  • Support customer
    growth objectives via Expeditors’ products and services.

  • Create and
    present Quarterly Business Reviews.

  • Establish
    service expectations and KPIs and consistently review performance for
    compliance and processes improvements.

  • Review
    and maintain procedures and processes that guide Operations in support of the
    customer's global logistics needs, helping to establish new procedures as

  • Coordinate
    systems integration between the customer and Expeditors.

  • Continuously
    develop knowledge of Supply Chain processes, financial objectives and general
    business acumen to benefit client and personal objectives.

  • Develop
    and continuously maintain Global Business Plan in order to identify account
    objectives, Expeditors’ vision, key performance indicators, and measures for
    success while identifying resources needed to reach these objectives.

  • Drive
    service improvements to create efficiency of operations and lower total cost of

  • RFQ
    and rate management

  • Coordinate
    local, regional, and global responses to customer's requests for rates and

  • Maintain
    and perform scheduled scorecard reviews of all critical areas of the

  • Provide
    resolution assistance in regards to claims, disputes, credit and collections.

  • Utilize,
    consult, inform, and incorporate Expeditors’ management and staff where
    appropriate to develop and achieve account goals.

  • Conduct regular
    face to face meetings with clients to support the
    customer and Expeditors’ goals, objectives, expectations and opportunities.

  • Dedication
    to the success of Expeditors and the customer using ethical business practices,
    personal commitment, passion, sacrifice and an obsession with the fundamental
    details of running the business!


  • Ability to
    discover, develop, and close both strategic and tactical opportunities

  • Critical and
    creative thinking, analytical, internal/external customer service, project
    management and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal
    and written communication skills

  • Intermediate
    Excel and PowerPoint skills
