Sea freight clerk export/import

We are looking for a clerk in sea freight export/import.

Your tasks:
The main focus of the job is the clearance of sea freight import shipments. All specific steps are involved:

• Disposition and handling of sea freight import shipments
• Selection of sea / transport options according to connection and price, mostly in coordination with foreign partners
• Obtaining specific offers for connecting transports and organizing the same
• Control of incoming invoices
• Preparation of outgoing invoices
• Execution of customs clearance according to the required procedures
• Correspondence with customers and foreign partners, also in English language

Your profile:

• Successfully completed commercial training
• Knowledge of sea freight import/export as well as import customs experience
• Experience with handling international shipments, transport planning/logistics in the area of sea freight import (sea, land and customs)
• Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
