Operations Sea Export Clerk

We are currently seeking a clerk in the field of sea export for an exciting position in Basel, Germany. Here is the information about the position:

Tasks:

We offer you the opportunity, after a thorough induction, to work independently as a contact person for the operational concerns of selected customers:

• Independent scheduling of preliminary runs and main runs for export shipments
• Order entry and offer checking, incl. costing
• Booking placement with pre-carriage/main-carriage carriers
• Creation of port orders and customs clearance
• Complaint management
• Documentation
• Billing of services with customers
• Monitoring the entire transport chain and working out solutions in case of unforeseen transport interruptions
• Daily correspondence and advice to our international customers, branches and partners

Profile:

• An apprenticeship as a forwarding agent and logistics service provider or comparable qualifications
• First professional experience in the export of sea freight
• Good written and oral English skills
• Feel comfortable in everyday forwarding work and enjoy the daily challenges of logistics
• Enjoy close customer contact and an international working environment
